The sudden increase of population in Pandi is due to thousands of informal settlers 
from Metro Manila were relocated to the many NHA resettlement houses in Pandi. The relocatees were resettled in the barangays of Mapulang Lupa, Cacarong, Bagong Barrio, etc.
